In the challenging area of wood and waste material processing for the protection of the environment and earth’s resources, engineering competency and the ability to innovate are of particular importance. Vecoplan met this requirement from the beginning. For 40 years we have been and continue to providing a growing and increasingly important market with innovative technologies for the sustainable treatment of wood and valuable materials.

Vecoplan has great experience where the development and launching of successful, future-oriented products is concerned. Numerous developments and patents document as an industry market leader including:

• The centrifugal wedge knife system (1971) is a Vecoplan solution that still today guarantees the operational safety of drum chippers.
• The combined loading and unloading conveyor for silos (1982) revolutionized material handling of shredded recyclable materials and alternative fuels.
• Since the launch of the VAZ one-shaft shredder on the market, (1984), this technology has been systematically improved.
• Vecoplan received a patent for the universal cutting system (U-rotor) it developed in 1989.
• More improvements followed: securing against tramp metal, pneumatically adjustable, floating counter knife ("Flipper"); bridge-breaker; the patented film and fiber rotor as a cutting system for plastic fibers and tear-resistant films (2002), the high-performance pre-shredder VVZ.
• The efficiency-optimized HiTorc drive (2005) was patented.
