For 40 years the Vecoplan name has stood for sustainable technology in the processing of wood and waste materials used in production and resource recycling. Today, with more than 300 employees at the headquarters in Germany, as well as approx. 65 employees in the US, Vecoplan is a leading company in the internationally growing market of environmental and recycling technology.

Since the VAZ single-shaft rotary shredder was launched on the market in 1984, this technology has been systematically enhanced, and Vecoplan was awarded a patent on the Universal rotary shredder (the U-rotor©) developed in 1998. More advances followed: foreign materials safety; the pneumatically adjustable, floating counter knife ("Flipper"); hydraulic compactors; the patented film and fiber rotor (2002); and the energy-saving HiTorc drive motor (2005), which is also patented.
