Plastic Shredders

VECOPLAN offers plastic shredders ideal for applications involving plastics processing and industrial recycling. Our plastic shredders are used in a wide range of industries to process large, bulky waste plastic, such as purgings and reject parts, for recycling and material recovery. Vecoplan plastic shredders and grinders utilize a screened discharge system to control the end particle size, and, in many instances, eliminating the need for further size reduction.

Our line of plastic shredders include two styles of our Vecoplan grinder/shredder, horizontal feed and vertical feed. The Vecoplan "K" series grinder/shredder is a single-shaft rotary plastic grinder and shredder that is ideal for use with plastic waste materials. These shredders have hopper openings ranging from 42" x 48" to 98" x 120" and hopper volumes ranging from 2-3 cubic yards to 12 - 15 cubic yards.

The Vecoplan "U" series grinder/shredders is also a rotary grinder that is ideal for the size reduction of plastics and other materials . These plastic grinder/shredders have hopper openings ranging from 24" x 14" to 98" x 58" and hopper volumes ranging from 0.5 cubic yards to 5-7 cubic yards.

Even though our plastic grinders and shredders come with an array of high quality standard features, we are pleased to offer a variety of options for them that include optional control brands, special purpose screens, critical-duty drivetrains, multiple rotor configurations, custom hoppers, abrasion resistant screens, pneumatic pick-up hoods, and much more to easily adapt to your application.

Vecoplan also manufactures a line of horizontal grinders and shredders and horizontal granulators that are ideal for long dimension plastic waste such as vinyl siding, window scrap, plastic strips, small diameter plastic pipe and tubing and other long plastic waste.
