QuickLink(TM) makes the VST-42e a true dual-duty shredding machine. When deployed in the mobile mode, equipment power is generated through a proprietary, PTO-driven compact generator component. The VST-42e can also be used as a stationary system when docked at, or in, your plant or shred site. Simply shut off the truck engine and plug into 3-phase industrial power and the VST-42e becomes a plant based shredding system.

TaskMaster(TM) makes the VST-42e a true multi-function shredding machine. Part of the user-friendly HMI touch screen control panel, it automatically optimizes the shredding process for a wide range of materials at the touch of a button. With five built-in programs, this application management system has a setting for high volumes of paper, a setting for tapes, pill bottles, credit cards and other plastics, a setting for books, file stock and banker’s boxes, a setting for uniforms and textiles, plus a setting for hard drives and other tough-to-process e-scrap.

MEGA throughput makes the VST-42e a true high volume, shredding machine. At 6,000 to 7,000 lbs. plus per hr. capacity, the VST-42e delivers the highest throughput per horsepower available today. This is up to twice the volume processed by other conventional, hydraulically powered, single shaft, mobile shredders on the market.

Green aspects inherent to the system’s design make the VST-42e a true lower-carbon-footprint shredding machine. The truck runs on ULSD and is B5 Biodiesel-compatible for lower Greenhouse gas emissions. When running off the PTO, the truck uses half the diesel as a traditional PTO driven hydraulic shredder system, and obviously when plugged into your plant’s power it uses no diesel at all. This not only lowers emissions, but delivers substantial fuel savings as well. Finally, by eliminating 94% of the hydraulic fluid needed on the truck, the VST-42e significantly decreases both the possibility and impact of a Hazmat spill – not to mention the cost and hassle of recycling hydraulic fluid during regular machine maintenance. The VST-42e is the most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly shredding vehicle available today.
